All About Me

Arden Coutts is a queer, trans author, retreat host, and creative entrepreneur based in rural Nebraska. They write emotionally rich stories that explore grief, resilience, identity, and love—often through the lens of romantic suspense, post-apocalyptic fiction, fantasy, and horror. Arden’s work centers queer characters navigating fractured worlds, chosen family, and the quiet, stubborn hope of survival.

With a background that spans archaeology, environmental compliance, disaster recovery, and digital storytelling, Arden brings a grounded, human lens to every story they tell. Their writing is known for its emotional intimacy, morally complex characters, and tender moments set against high-stakes backdrops.

In addition to writing, Arden is the founder of Wandering Creative Life, where they host inclusive writing and wellness retreats for LGBTQ+ creatives. When they aren’t writing or creating, Arden can usually be found planning their next retreat, making suncatchers, drinking too much coffee, or chasing moments of queer joy wherever they can be found.
