Starkly Emotional and Gripping
This is a starkly emotional and gripping apocalyptic journey. The story follows Adrian, a trans man who has had the weight of the world on his shoulders for most of his life. He doesn't realize yet that the world ending may not lighten his load. Arden Coutts has written a dark but deeply moving introspective into humanity, survival, love, grief, and what we're each capable of doing when faced with impossible odds. ECHOES OF US-GOODREADS

Hopeful for a Sequel
Coutts also explores how catastrophic events can bring out both the best and worst in people. Elements of gore and terror are woven into the story, contributing to a believable portrayal of human behavior under extreme circumstances. While some characters manage to survive, none escape without being fundamentally changed. The depth of this new universe left me hopeful for a sequel or perhaps a trilogy. Cough….ahem…

Brisk Pacing and Anticipation
The story unfolds at a brisk pace, with Coutts skillfully blending plot and Adrian’s introspective moments. This approach keeps the narrative moving quickly, allowing readers to discover character motivations through context rather than drawn-out explanations. The fast-paced writing generates anticipation and compels readers to continue, especially as the book opens with the devastating realization about the planet’s future. Coutts maintains suspense as the characters navigate uncertainty, raising questions about the fate of humanity and the value of striving for survival in the face of the unknown.

Emotional Depth and Survival
I expected the story to focus mainly on survival, and while there is death and some gore throughout the book, it became much more than that. It also serves as a psychological study of human nature and darkness that exists within all of us…Overall, the novel offered more emotional depth than I expected from an apocalypse story and examined both survival and the complexity of human behavior.

Exciting & Entertaining
The story was exciting and entertaining, but the writing was next-level good. Coutts creates nuanced characters by showing (not telling) how each feel about the other. The attention to detail is calculated and creative, not clumsy. Carefully structured story development and thoughtful pacing make the budding romance between Hannah and Gray feel fresh and authentic. I loved “Fall into Midnight” and can’t wait to read the next installment of the series!- Fall Into Midnight Amazon Review

Intriguing Story
Arden has written an intriguing story with many twists and turns. The book moves at a rapid pace and there is always something new happening. I love the diversity of the characters and their interactions. I rarely see genderfluid characters, especially portrayed as well as Arden has written Gray. If you love a fast moving, diverse romance, filled with action, get this book AND the prequel!- Fall Into Midnight Amazon Review

adventure, mystery, emotion, mental health representation, and diversity.
Once again, Arden has given readers a story that is filled with adventure, mystery, emotion, mental health representation, and diversity. Marcus especially is a beautifully broken character, and has been through a lot of past trauma. I loved seeing the connection between him and Kee grow along with the understanding of his mental health needs. Kee is such a strong woman, both mentally and physically, and watching her personal growth as she got closer to Marcus was powerful. If you love a thrilling romance filled with emotion, connection, and spice, get this book! But wait, we also get a teaser of Luke and James together and what is to come in book 3!- Fall Into Me Amazon Review

You Won't be let down
I honestly loved this book more than I thought I would. It was a great way to start off June/ Pride. I absolutely loved reading about Kee and Marcus. When I say I chose this book based on the cover and read the blurb later I meant it. This was a great read and I’m happy I chose it you will be too. So, go ahead and buy it you won’t be let down.- Fall Into Me Amazon Review

Wonderful Queer Representation
As always, Arden gives us wonderful queer representation as well. James especially has carried a lot of past hurt, and I appreciate how it is addressed through his and Luke's love story. If you enjoy a diverse love story that is action packed, super spicy, with fabulous representation, and a great chosen family for our MMCs, then get this book!- We All Fall Amazon Review

Diversity
I adore the diversity in the characters, as well as the representation, with everything from MM, FM, and BWWM. This particular book in the series focuses on Hannah and Gray, a sapphic couple. Not only have I enjoyed the journey the characters have gone on, but also witnessing the authors growth in writing.- A Nightclub for the Holidays Amazon Review

Brings the feelings
This book brings the feelings of being in love for the first time, all of the joy and hope that gets poured into that person and relationship. These poems cover the journey of falling in and out of love and how wonderful and awful those two things are, often both at the same time. The artwork between the poems is gorgeous.- Where We Once Existed Amazon Review

From the Heart
This collection of poems was clearly from the heart of the author. I really loved the artwork that was interspersed, especially with how it related to the subject matter. My one critique is that I wish some parts were more fleshed out. With shorter poems/sections, it can be harder to dive deep into the emotions behind the words. Regardless, I would absolutely read more by Arden Coutts, and I would be curious to see how future works build upon this subject matter.- Where We Once Existed Amazon Review
